Description

Billund Heating Plant (BVV) wants to establish a new heat production for the green district heating of the future. The plant's production portfolio today consists of three central plants producing heat on wood chips, straw, electricity and natural gas. Billund Heating Plant wants to phase out fossil fuels, including natural gas. Therefore, a new heat production will be established. This project includes the establishment and delivery of a complete air/water heat pump system. Billund Heating Plant wants to establish an air-to-water heat pump system that will produce district heating in cooperation with the existing production units. Billund Heating Plant currently produces heat using a straw furnace and an electric kettle that together can supply around 23 MW. The heat pump system in this project must be able to provide a nominal output of at least 16 MW at 0° outdoor temperature and at a humidity of 80-100 % at flow/return temperatures of 75 / 37 0C. The heat pump system is expected to consist of one or more compressor units, various heat exchangers on the heating side for condenser/subcooler/desuperheaters, as well as containers, economizers and district heating pumps, and an airway consisting of energy recorders/evaporators.
