Description

Carrying out traffic for the general public: Local passenger transport by rail (SPNV) on line RE 82 ‘Der Leineweber’ (Bielefeld - Detmold - Altenbecken) from December 2024 until August 2025 with a volume of approximately 130 tsd. trainkm, with the possibility of extending the contract until December 2025. Line RE 82 has not been operated by the current contractor since August 2024 due to staff shortages. Therefore, the service was awarded from August 2024 to December 2024 through an emergency measure. The contractor’s personnel situation has not changed in the meantime, which is why the contracting authority intends to award the transport services on line RE 82 for a period of 12 months by means of a new emergency measure pursuant to Article 5(5) of Regulation (EC) No 1370/2007, as amended by Regulation (EU) No 2016/2338. Following the emergency measure, the transport services will be reintegrated into the transport network of the original contractor.
