På grundlag af Lov 20240611 nr. 624 om anlæg af en tredje Limfjordsforbindelse anlægger Vejdirektoratet en ca. 20 km firesporet motorvej vest om Aalborg via Egholm med forbindelse til E45 Nordjyske Motorvej i syd og E39 Hirtshalsmotorvejen i nord. Anlæg af motorvejen sker i åbent land. Der skal etableres to udfletningsanlæg, fem tilslutningsanlæg og foretages omlægning af en række lokale veje og stier. Der skal etableres ca. 50 bygværker, heraf tre banekrydsninger, to dalbroer (tvillingebroer) og to lavbroer (tvillingebroer) samt opsættes støjskærme. Nærværende aftale omhandler detailprojekteringen af køreledningsanlægget på to lokationer.
