Description

The objective of the contract is to procure four autonomous echo sounders. The echo sounders shall be installed on two monitoring platforms operating in arctic ice package. The echo sounders must be installed two and two together at a depth of approx. 80 m for each platform; One sounder shall be installed downwards and one upwards. All four echo sounders must be identical and provide acoustical recordings at minimum four different frequencies in such a way that both fish and zooplankton are registered. The acoustic data shall be based on an average over a given time period and uploaded to a server via satellite communication.
