The buildings in question are Alte Rathausstraße 12 and 14 in the district of Oberlauchringen. Both buildings are owned by the municipality and are to be partly used for other purposes through renovation and refurbishment. Rathausstraße 12 is the former town hall building of the former independent village of Oberlauchringen. The two-storey building currently houses a sewing studio, a post office, an office space of the school and adjoining rooms. Upstairs is the community's public library. The attic is currently used as a storage room. Immediately next to the former town hall is the school building of the primary school Oberlauchringen.
