Predmetom zákazky v sústave SCZT Zvolen – vetva Zlatý Potok je modernizácia tepelného rozvodu a súčasne zvýšenie efektivity dodávky tepla pre odberateľov sídliska „Zlatý Potok“. Realizáciou investičného zámeru prevádzkovateľ SCZT sleduje predovšetkým zníženie prevádzkových nákladov na dodávku tepla, ako aj zníženie rizika porúch na starých potrubiach, ktoré sú inštalované v roku 1976 a tým zvýšenie spoľahlivosti a bezpečnosti dodávok tepla.
