Aktuell sind alle Standorte des Landesamt für Finanzen IP-technisch aus dem BayKom erreichbar. Um den Zugriff auf die Standorte von außen zu reglementieren wurde beschlossen, dass an den Übergängen zum WAN Packetfilter Firewalls platziert werden sollen. Somit soll für das gesamte Landesamt für Finanzen eine Firewall inklusive Support über 5 Jahre sowie Dienstleistungen für die Implementierung beschafft werden.
