Description

For the maintenance and servicing of the trolleybus overhead line network of around 50 kilometres (as of August 2025) in the urban area of Winterthur, a new tower scale is required. An environmentally friendly vehicle with an innovative bodywork is needed. According to the specifications, the vehicle with electric drive is equipped with a working platform (4th) and a workshop structure (5th). The tower scale complies with the Ordinance on the technical requirements for road vehicles VTS 741.41 (latest version) and is approved as a truck by the Road Traffic Office of the Canton of Zurich. In the event of faults, repairs or maintenance, a service base within a radius of 150 kilometres is available. Employees from the catenary team and the workshop are adequately trained by the manufacturer/vehicle manufacturer at the place of delivery on the operation and maintenance of the delivered vehicle. If further training is required in the first year of use, this is guaranteed free of charge by the manufacturer/vehicle manufacturer.
