Currently the Port Authority of the Balearic Islands (hereinafter the APB) has a backup Data Processing Center (CPD-Backup) that is located in a building of the Moll Vell de Palma, near its main CPD. Compliance with the ENS (National Security Scheme) requires greater physical separation between the two CPDs and the need arises to have a new location for the backup CPD, connected with dark fiber with the main one, at a distance and altitude large enough to guarantee its independence with the main one, and small enough so that APB technicians can access it by their own means within a reasonable period of time.
