Complete refurbishment of the Spiez car park - Master builders' work
BLS Netz AG owns and operates the three-storey car park at Spiez station. This was created in 1997 by the general contractor Zschockke AG. Over the years, the number of visible defects accumulated due to superficially occurring water, which penetrates the structure through insufficient sealing. In addition to dripping water on parked vehicles, these water ingresses led to further consequential damage to the concrete components and the facilities, which stand out to a large extent from usual signs of ageing and use. This was despite a renovation of the cantonal road and the parking area on the ground floor in 2010 in connection with the refurbishment of the station building. Subsequently, the multi-storey car park was comprehensively examined and explored, which resulted in the project of the present overall renovation, which was created by the general planner Delley+Partner AG from Bern. The Bahnhofstrasse, which is owned by the Canton of Bern, leads over the car park. The Bahnhofstrasse will also be renovated above the car park and in the area in front of the station building as part of the car park renovation and is part of the present project. In front of the station building, the walkway is also extended by the so-called "Spiezerterrasse". The extension is owned by the municipality of Spiez and will also be refurbished as an option in the course of this project. This invitation to tender concerns the construction works.
