Description

The objective of the new contract is to set up a service contract covering connection/transmission (uploading) services to satellites and earth-based stations of the EP's audiovisual productions (for example: plenary sessions and other parliamentary activities).
The World Feed service is a service linked to traditional (unilateral) transmission which enables the Parliament to make special broadcasts of programmes, the media impact of which may be of strategic importance to the DG COMM (for example, coverage of the European elections), to more than 1 000 broadcasters worldwide.
The WorldLink service is a service based on new encoding and publication technologies on a dedicated platform. This unique web platform, intended for broadcasters, is based on a quality of encoding known as 'Broadcast' (MPEG4 at 25 Mbit/s) and services comparable to the quality of those offered by the EBU for traditional video transmissions (in terms of download performance for example).
The One-Stop Shop service is a service for provision of stand-ups (single camera shooting), studios and feed points throughout the world via a one-stop shop
