Description

We ask for an offer of optometrist and ophthalmologist services. The target of the service is children of comprehensive school age in Vantaa and Kerava well-being area (in the future, including the customer’s guardian) who may need spectacles or otherwise benefit from an examination by an optometrist or an ophthalmologist. It is estimated that there are approximately 800 clients in the service, of whom approximately half need an ophthalmologist’s appointment, instead of or in addition to an optometrist. This is a visual examination service in which, based on the assessment made by the public health nurse, the service product includes the possibility of directing the client to an ophthalmologist or an optometrist who, after his own assessment, directs the client to an ophthalmologist if necessary. Ophthalmologist and optometrist services are produced in the service provider’s reception facilities. The offices must be located in both Vantaa and Kerava. The facilities and the research equipment used must be appropriate and suitable for the purpose of providing the service. The service provider is responsible for the costs related to reception facilities and research equipment as well as other costs arising from the provision of the service. The service provider is also responsible for any costs related to the correction of errors in the provision of the service. A more detailed description of the service can be found in Annex 2 to the invitation to tender (service description). The contract period is fixed-term starting from the signature of the contract. The subscriber reserves the right to extend the contract period with a two (2) year option one (1) year at a time. The client will notify the change of option at the latest three (3) months before the end of the contract period. Framework agreement The procurement involves the selection of two service providers offering the lowest price in the framework agreement in order of priority. The service provider in the framework agreement is selected for each customer on the basis of individual needs, discretion and suitability of the service. The customer’s individual needs and special circumstances determine what kind of services the client organises at any given time. If there are more than one service provider suitable for the customer’s service needs, the lowest price will be selected in the framework agreement.
