The currently used school building of the ‘Grundschule am Roten Berg’ in the Saalfeld district of Gorndorf is in a very poor structural condition and cannot be renovated for economic reasons. As part of this construction project, the adjacent building of the former district center will be gutted in reinforced concrete skeleton construction, fundamentally renovated and extended by an extension in timber construction. The measure is based on the requirements of the Thuringian School Construction Directive and on the specific needs of the pedagogical concept of the new dual elementary school.
