Description

The current school building of the ‘Grundschule am Roten Berg’ in the Gorndorf district of Saalfeld is in a very poor structural condition and cannot be renovated for economic reasons. As part of this construction project, the adjacent building of the former district center will be gutted in reinforced concrete skeleton construction, fundamentally renovated and expanded by an extension in timber construction. The measure is based on the requirements of the Thuringian School Building Directive as well as on the specific needs of the pedagogical concept of the new dual primary school. The renovation measures include the expansion of the building, the adaptation of the building envelope to the required increased energy standards, the creation of modern and barrier-free room structures and the renewal of the building technology.
