Description

Restaurant and cafeteria activities of the Information House at the University of Technology of Tampere (TTY), as well as the provision of meeting and representation services to the Information House and the E-House.
The services have been the subject of a so-called restaurant management contract with the selected supplier (Sodexo Oy), in which TTY makes available to the supplier free of charge restaurants, cabinets, cafeterias, kitchens, warehouses, social facilities and kitchen equipment available to the supplier for the provision of restaurant and cafeteria services for students and staff.
The service provider complies with the provisions on student feeding (Government Decree of 2.2.2012/54 on the criteria for supporting eating students in higher education, as well as Kela guidelines and recommendations).
Procurement is above the EU threshold, but is one of the so-called ‘secondary services’ to be put out to tender in accordance with national procurement rules.
The contract period started on 1 September 2015. The contract starts with a fixed-term contract of three (3) years (from 1 September 2015 to 31 August 2018), after which it is possible to switch to a contract of indefinite duration.
