UK-Luton: repair and maintenance services of building installations
Facilities Management Services [Building Services] for.
Luton Borough Council - 5 Lots.
Luton Borough Council is responsible for overseeing and managing day-to-day reactive repairs and maintenance to the buildings it owns, along with managing the cyclical maintenance and other minor works within these buildings.
Luton Borough Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced building services providers who can meet all of the legal requirements of Local Authority Contracts, for the provision of high quality facilities management services [building services].
Key Objectives:
Luton Borough Council is looking to tender out each individual Lot as a separate contract, to bid for one, several or all contracts as follows:
Lot 1 - Mechanical (including water hygiene);
Lot 2 - Electrical (including testing of emergency lighting and electrical installations, PAT and lightning protection);
Lot 3 - Fire and security;
Lot 4 - Automatic and Mechanical Doors (Gates, Barriers and Shutters);
Lot 5 - Air Conditioning; that meets Councils compliance requirements as well as support the council in its effort to deliver efficient, quality service at an improved cost with value for money.
The council is looking to engage with suppliers who can clearly demonstrate that they can utilise and take advantage of the latest thinking and innovative technologies and systems to operate, deliver and manage FM services for the Council that will deliver measurable and proven improvements in costs, efficiencies as well as service quality and responsiveness, through a strategy of continuous throughout the life of the contract.
Luton Borough council is expecting to make a saving on current contract costs of these services. The current cost of these contracts [for 3 years] to the council is 3 900 000 GBP.
Contract:
The new contracts will start from 1.4.2013. Each contract[s] will each be for a period of 3 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years, reviewed continually based performance.
