‘Supply of bread and bakery products for the needs of the municipal enterprise “School Nutrition”, Stara Zagora’ In order to perform the subject of the contract, bread and bakery products for the needs of the municipal enterprise “School Nutrition” should be delivered. The food products supplied must comply with the requirements of the Food Act (amended and supplemented, SG No 85 of 8.10.2024, in force as of 8.10.2024), Regulation No 2 of 20.01.2021 on the specific requirements for the safety and quality of food offered in childcare facilities, school canteens and retail outlets on the territory of schools and childcare facilities, as well as food offered at organised events for children and schoolchildren (published, SG No 8 of 29.01.2021, in force as of 13.02.2021, amended and supplemented, SG No 84 of 4.10.2024). Food containing, consisting of or produced from genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and food treated with ionising radiation shall not be allowed in childcare facilities, school canteens and retail outlets, schools or childcare facilities. In school canteens, foods with signs of spoilage, as well as foods with expired durability, are not allowed. The food products offered shall meet the following requirements: - be labelled in accordance with regulatory requirements; - be accompanied by documents certifying the quality, origin and expiry date; - for all composite products (semi-manufactures) under the relevant heading, indicate the quantitative composition; - meet the sanitary, veterinary-sanitary, hygienic and other standards established by the legislation in force in the Republic of Bulgaria and/or issued by the specialized state control bodies. Foodstuffs supplied must be accompanied by documents attesting to their quality, origin and shelf-life of at least 75 % (seventy-five percent) residual fitness at the time of delivery. The bread offered in childcare facilities should be low in fat, salt and/or sugar.
