The products to be purchased, namely polyelectrolyte for sludge dehydration and polyelectrolyte for thickening excess activated sludge, will be used by Somes Water Company S.A. in its activity as a regional operator of the water and sewerage system. Wastewater treatment activities are carried out in the treatment plants within Someș Water Company S.A. located in Cluj-Napoca, respectively in the treatment plants within the Zalău, Dej and Gherla branches.
The need to purchase polyelectrolyte for sludge dehydration and polyelectrolyte for thickening excess activated sludge is of a permanent nature, as these products are necessary in the treatment process of sludge resulting from water treatment. Polyelectrolytes are constantly used to carry out the specific activity of the treatment plants, i.e. they favor the processes of concentration and dehydration of the sludge retained in the treatment plants by acting on the solid particles in the sludge by neutralizing their electric charge and forming floaters with improved dehydration properties. The products covered by the framework agreement are of low complexity, but they are of the utmost importance for carrying out the specific activity, namely in the treatment of sludge resulting from water treatment.
