Description

Public service broadcasters are absolutely dependent on an efficient and functioning IT infrastructure in order to fulfil their tasks. This also includes mass storage for unstructured data, which is implemented in various broadcasters as a GRID storage infrastructure with Dell devices of the Powerscale (formerly Isilon) and Objectscale (formerly ECS) series. The steady growth of data requires that the existing infrastructures must be permanently expanded and supplemented by further storage units. Under the auspices of Südwestrundfunk (SWR), this EU-wide procurement procedure intends to conclude a framework agreement with a contractor for the supply and maintenance of storage units of Dell of Powerscale (formerly Isilon) and Objectscale (formerly ECS) as well as related services such as design and planning services. The framework agreement is to be concluded for an initial period of 72 months and two extension options of 12 months each (maximum duration 96 months). The renewal option shall be exercised by the Contracting Authority and shall also apply to all persons entitled under this Framework Agreement. The framework agreement will start at the earliest on 01.12.2025. Essential delivery services to be provided are: -Delivery of DELL storage units of the Powerscale (formerly Isilon) and Objectscale (formerly ECS) series in different equipment variants as well as maintenance and warranty services from the manufacturer for up to 84 months. -Delivery of network components (backend connectivity) as well as maintenance and warranty services from the manufacturer for up to 84 months. -Delivery of OEM and third-party software for administration and administration of purchased hardware components as well as software maintenance from manufacturers for up to 84 months. Essential services to be provided are: -Commissioning at the contracting authority or the beneficiary by the contractor (non-manufacturer) up to the state "hardware ready" Optional services are: -Planning and design services for the construction and expansion of the GRID storage infrastructure as well as further configurations of the systems according to the state "hardware ready" -Cloud hosting of individual storage units -Pay as you use APEX onPrem The following points are important for this project: -Continuity and quality in the management of maintenance and guarantee services -Logistical service In addition to SWR as the contracting authority of this framework agreement, the other public service broadcasters designated under Chapter 3.2.3 (Participation Competition) as well as their subsidiaries and associated companies, provided that the participation of the public service broadcasters is at least 50%, are involved as beneficiaries of this framework agreement: -Bayrischer Rundfunk (BR) -Deutsche Welle (DW) -ARD-Sternpunkt, represented by Hessische Rundfunk (HR) -Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR) -Radio Bremen (RB) / Bremedia Produktion GmbH -Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB) -Informations-Verarbeitungs-Zentrum (IVZ), represented by Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB) -Saarländischer Rundfunk (SR) -Südwestrundfunk (SWR) -WDR mediagroup digital GmbH, represented by Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR) The purchase quantities are expressed in EUR net and refer to the maximum duration of the framework agreement of 96 months.
