Description

As a university of excellence with more than 43,000 students and approximately 6,000 employees, Universität Hamburg (hereinafter referred to as "UHH") is one of the most research-intensive universities in Germany and at the same time one of the largest training institutions in Northern Germany. With its concept of Flagship University in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region, it maintains innovative and cooperative links with scientific and non-scientific partners. It produces for the location – but also nationally and internationally – the forward-looking social goods of education, knowledge and exchange of knowledge under the guiding objective of sustainability. As the central awarding authority for HafenCity Universität Hamburg (HCU), UHH carries out an open procedure for a delivery service. For quasi-continuous measurement of strains along a measuring fiber, two High Definition Distributed Fiber Optic Sensing Systems (HD-DFOS System) based on Rayleigh backscattering are to be purchased. The systems should be universally applicable in the context of research. The high local resolution of the elongation should make it possible to apply measuring fibers in both measuring screws and other fasteners in timber construction or solid construction (reinforcement). Furthermore, the systems will also be used for structural monitoring of structures in solid construction or timber construction or for research on pile foundations in geotechnical engineering with large measuring lengths of up to 50 m. A total of two independent devices with different configurations are to be purchased. The systems should be comparable with each other in terms of measuring principle, connections and software, so that compatibility, uniform operation and comparability of the measurement results is guaranteed.
