Description

The subject-matter of the contract is a translation from English of the musical libretto entitled ‘Wicked’ together with the transfer of the copyright to the contracting authority. The performer will be obliged to translate the text of the musical libretto into Polish in a way that preserves the intentions and artistic expression of the author of the original work and guarantees that the translation will be made exactly in relation to the original text, should reproduce not only the content and basic features of the expression plan, but also the rhythmic and metric features of the original, preserve the number and principle of transformation of the foot of the verse, the features of rhymes and the type of their alternation, cadence and structure of the stanza. In addition, the translator should, as far as possible, also transmit the sound of the original. The translation should be an original work – the development of the original work in Polish does not have legal defects and does not infringe copyrights or personal rights of third parties. Translators will be responsible for the shares of personal creative contribution to the work agreed upon by them, and the Theatre will not be liable for mutual claims between them.
