Description

The Council already operates a CCTV monitoring service across the city. However, the underlying (BT) network that supports this service is old and in need of replacement. Rather than simply replacing this ageing network with a modern equivalent, the Council would like to take this opportunity to establish a data network that is capable of supporting multiple community safety based applications. Starting with CCTV, it is envisaged that in future the network will support a broad range of applications and uses that will allow the Council to harness smart technologies.
