Request information / Cordless drill saw system and consumables for joint replacement surgery
HUS Group is preparing the acquisition of a cordless drill saw system and consumables. The tendering process is carried out as an internal tendering process for the dynamic purchasing system Drill saw systems and consumables 2021-2028 DPS (HUS 133-2021). By this request for information, the HUS Group (‘HUS’) is launching a market prospection for a future acquisition. The aim of this pre-notification is to identify suppliers active in the sector, to obtain information on the solutions available on the market and to inform about the plans and requirements of the future procurement. The scope of the procurement includes cordless drill saw systems used in joint replacement surgery. Drill saw systems must be battery-operated, including a drill handpiece, saw handpiece, as well as various chucks, disposable saw blades, sterile and aseptic batteries and battery chargers. In addition, the acquisition includes a battery-powered knife saw and suitable disposable saw blades. The procurement is likely to be carried out as a procurement ring involving HUS as well as the well-being areas of South Karelia, Päijät-Häme and Kymenlaakso. The details of the joint procurement will be specified later as the preparation of the procurement progresses. INSTRUCTIONS TO RESPONSE THE INFORMATION REQUEST In connection with the purchase, we now ask suppliers for more information about the devices on the market. The objective of the request for information is to obtain a comprehensive overview of the selection so that the tendering procedure can be carried out as appropriately as possible. Interested suppliers are kindly requested to provide more information about their selection and brochures by e-mail to myyntitus.tiimi@hus.fi by 12 noon on 22 September at the latest. MARKET DISTRIBUTION HUS may, at its discretion, propose further market dialogue discussions with those who responded to this notice. HUS is planning to publish a call for tenders in the spring of 2026. This notice is not a call for tenders. Please note that the procurement is in the early stages of planning, and the plans as well as the subject of the procurement and its schedule may still change. This notice describes the information available to the contracting entity at the time when the notice is drawn up. The subject matter and schedule of the procurement may change substantially. The request for information does not oblige the contracting entity to carry out the actual procurement, but the launch of a possible procurement procedure is decided separately. Neither Party shall be bound by the request for information or the replies thereto. Responding to a request for information does not affect the position of the tenderer in a future call for tenders. The costs of responding to a request for information remain the responsibility of the respondent, and HUS does not pay any compensation for responding to a request for information or participating in a procurement procedure.
