Description

Im Juni 2013 wurden die Gebäude des Theaters Rudolstadt während des Hochwassers der Saale überflutet. Besonders betroffen waren die Kellerräume des Großen Hauses. Die Planungen zielten darauf, den Theaterbetrieb zu sichern und zukünftig solche Schadensereignisse zu vermeiden. Die wichtigste Maßnahme des Sanierungskonzepts ist deshalb die Neueinordnung von Betriebs- und Funktionsräumen im Erdgeschoss des Großen Hauses. Diese waren bisher im Keller untergebracht. Das Hauptgebäude des Theaters soll im Rahmen des Umbaus mit einem eingeschossigen und teilunterkellerten Umfassungsbau erweitert werden. Unter dem Bestandskeller ist eine "weiße Wanne" erforderlich. Die Planungsleistungen wurden 2015 an einen Generalplaner vergeben. Der Generalplanervetrag wurde 2019 gekündigt. Laut Gutachten ist das Projekt bauseits zu ca. 20-25% fertiggestellt. Das Gesamtbudget für das Bauvorhaben beträgt ca. 14,0 Mio € (brutto, KG 100-700). Davon wurden ca. 5,6 Mio € bereits aufgewendet.
