Vitens N.V. heeft te communiceren met een grote en diverse groep klanten over uiteenlopende onderwerpen, zoals facturatie, contractinformatie, wijzigingen en dienstverlening. Deze communicatie vindt plaats via meerdere kanalen, waaronder e-mail, fysieke post en SMS en moet daarnaast digitaal beschikbaar zijn voor klanten via een online omgeving. De ambitie is om klantcommunicatie digital-first, consistent en grotendeels geautomatiseerd in te richten, waarbij klanten waar mogelijk worden gestuurd naar selfservice om onnodig klantcontact te voorkomen. De verwachting is dan ook dat er de komende jaren een verschuiving gaat plaatsvinden van fysieke post naar online communicatie.
