Description

The contract to be awarded therefore includes the compilation of an up-to-date, representative and comprehensive database on the income situation of the population aged 60 and over at the level of persons, taking into account living partners in the household, for the year 2027. The research project ‘Age protection in Germany’ has been awarded every four years since the mid-1980s. More details can be found in the method report for the last investigation. All reports and the table volumes of the previous studies can be viewed as a PDF file on the website of the BMAS (www.bmas.de) under Publications. The research project consists of a data collection and a data evaluation and is to be carried out in the years 2026 to 2029. The sub-project ‘Data collection’ includes in particular: • Creation of an operationalised survey concept. • Revision of questionnaires. • Drawing of target persons aged 60 and over from a sample of addresses at the population registration offices. • Conducting the survey, data collection, data review and data preparation. • Development of a model for the statistical updating of the population aged 85 and over and their incomes on the basis of available data. • Development of a model for calculating income tax and social security contributions. • Development of an extrapolation framework. • Delivery of an evaluable data set with information on at least 20,000 target persons over the age of 60 and their spouses/partners to the client, so that a total of data on around 30,000 persons is available. • Preparation of a methodological report. The sub-project ‘Data analysis’ comprises: • Creation of an evaluation and reporting concept. • Reporting. Please refer to the attached procurement documents.
