Description

The actions provided for in the call for tenders are necessary as a result of the approval of the second-cycle Flood Risk Management Plans (FRMPs) (2022-2027) within the Agency by Royal Decree 26/2023 of 17 January 2023, in application of the mandate to review and update those plans every six years set out in both Directive 2007/60/EC and Royal Decree 903/2010 of 9 July 2010 on the assessment and management of flood risks, which transposes it. The service to be contracted is oriented towards compliance with the aforementioned plans through: the review and preparation of technical studies of a hydrological and hydraulic nature that allow the improvement of the estimation of frequencies and magnitudes of avenues and the definition of floodable areas; the generation of new mapping of flood areas; the updating of the existing hydrology in the Douro basin and the design and preparation of a new hydrological visor, and the coordination between maps and dam drainage information located upstream of priority areas of potential significant flood risk.
