Description

The object of the procurement was a measurement system for mapping possible diseases of the coronary artery epicardial and microvascular systems. The apparatus is capable of invasively measuring physiological measurement values: FFR and RFR measure the state of the epicardial vessels; CFR and IMR provide information on the microvascular system. The apparatus is capable of measuring and displaying haemodynamic measurements of both the epicardial vascular system and the coronary microvascular system. A request for information was published in the procurement on 6 March 2024, to which no other suppliers contacted other than Abbott Medical Finland Oy. According to a report by the Chief Physician of the Meilahti Heart Centre, direct procurement is possible because there is only one possible product supplier. The direct procurement ensured treatment for the patient and patient safety.
