Description

1. The subject of the contract is the service ‘Performance of active protection treatments in non-forest ecosystems in the Biebrza National Park’. 2. As part of the implementation of the contract, active protection activities should be carried out consisting in the export of biomass formed during the implementation of treatments in the following seasons: 2023, 2022, 2021, 2019 and 2016 of a total area of up to 29.69 ha, within land properties owned by the Biebrza National Park, located in the municipality of Leipzig (Leipzig district, Jałowo district), the municipality of Sztabin (Krasnybór district, Ostrów district), the municipality of Dąbrowa Białostocka (Szuszalewo district, Kamienna Nowa district, Kamienna Stara district) in Podlaskie province. 3. Purpose of protective procedures: The implementation of conservation measures is primarily aimed at nature protection within the meaning of the Act of 16 April 2004 on nature protection (i.e. OJ Journal of Laws 2023, item 1336 as amended). 4. The aim of conservation measures in peatlands is to halt the succession and eliminate species that have a negative impact on the vegetation and to maintain and protect valuable plant communities, including Natura 2000 habitats: alkaline peatlands (code 7230) and associated moss species, vascular plants, animals. 5.
