Description

The municipality of Linköping, in cooperation with the Swedish Arkitekter, invites the pre-qualification of design contests for the design of a new urban area at Stångån i Linköping. The aim of the design contest is to produce high-quality proposals, which may form the basis for further planning of the area and to enable the procurement of architectural and planning services for the continuation of the contract.
The municipality of Linköping has decided to let the inner city grow over a loan.
The competition task is to propose the design and structure of a new urban area in central Linköping.
The area shall be an integral part of the inner city of Linköping. In addition to being part of the inner city of Linköping, the area must include a point of exchange (travel centre and regional communication hubs) that effectively connects all communications while contributing to natural urban expansion without barrier effects.
