Description

The Lycée-Collège de Saint-Maurice welcomes around 1 100 students supervised by around 100 teachers. With a long educational tradition, this emblematic place plays a key role in the gymnasium training of the canton of Valais, and enjoys a confirmed reputation. The establishment is spread over two separate sites: * the Lycée-Collège site located in the immediate vicinity of the train station and the old town of Saint-Maurice; * the site of the Sports Zone, adjacent to the sports facilities of the municipality. These two sites are just over 300 metres apart, about a five-minute walk away. The Lycée-Collège extension and transformation project provides for the construction, to the north-west of the site, of a new wooden pavilion comprising a basement and four levels. It also includes the renovation of the boarding school, owned by the Abbey of Saint-Maurice, and the transformation of the existing building into an H-shaped building.
