Description

Disposal + Recycling Zurich (ERZ), as the competent service department within the meaning of Article 6(1) of the Waste Management Regulation (VAZ, LS 712.110) in conjunction with point 7.2.2(c) of Annex 2 to the Regulations on the Organisation, Tasks and Powers of the City Administration (ROAB, AS 172.101), is responsible for the professional and environmentally sound disposal of municipal waste of the City of Zurich. To fulfil this task, ERZ maintains a network of 168 recyclables collection points (WST) for waste glass and small metals. Of the 168 decentralized sites, 63 sites have been converted to underground recyclables collection points (UF-WST) as part of road construction projects of the Zurich Civil Engineering Office (TAZ) or private construction projects. According to the current state of knowledge of the other planned construction projects in the city of Zurich, about 5 UF-WST will be rebuilt in 2026. In the last 5 years, an average of 3 to 6 UF-WSTs have been realized per year. However, the actual number of UF-WSTs to be implemented depends on building permit procedures and the implementation of urban construction projects. This tender covers the production, delivery and installation (= relocation) of approximately 31 fully equipped UF-WSTs with 5 to 10 collection containers each. The UF-WST are assembled with compact foundation containers with 2 or 3 collection containers. The UF-WST are adapted to the respective needs depending on the space on site. The arrangement of the containers can be carried out in series and in parallel with two- and three-piece elements. The delivery and installation (= transfer) by the offeror in coordination with a total contractor commissioned for the construction project of ERZ (TU) takes place on demand at a location designated by ERZ in the city of Zurich. Detailed information on the list of tasks can be found in the description of services in PART E of this call for tenders. Construction works are not the subject of this submission. The service is agreed for a term of 5 years, at the earliest from 1 January 2026.
