Description

The main aim of the project is to further develop the IT solution RAVEN 3 designed to support the six West Balkan countries in managing their air quality (AQ) data and information as well as implementing the AQ e-Reporting through the EEA delivery platform Central Data Repository (CDR, i.e. ReportNet 2). This IT solution (RAVEN), based on open source/freeware, will enable these countries to maintain and further develop the system without external assistance in the future. The main objectives are as follows: I. to share and manage air quality data, including providing a technical platform for air quality data management and data transfer to the EEA in line with EU Directive 2008/50/EC on ambient air quality: II. to improve the quality of air quality data (i.e. quality control procedures (QA/QC) and database); III. to ensure as far as possible a suitable technical basis and local expertise allowing the long-term use of the developed systems within the respective national institutions.
