Description

The municipality wants to focus on increasing opportunities so that all residents of the municipality actively participate in local, economic and cultural life. As part of this policy, the municipality of Zaventem is focusing on neighbourhood initiatives that strengthen social cohesion, improve the living environment and promote the participation of citizens. This concerns the continuation of the current neighbourhood work in Zaventem as well as the start of neighbourhood work in Sint-Stevens-Woluwe. This amounts to a total of 3VTE. The neighbourhood work in Zaventem has been built up and grown in phases. The initial public contract for neighbourhood work (1 FTE neighbourhood worker) has been started for many years in July 2019 and ends on 30 September 2027. The Zaventem neighbourhood operation was further expanded (as part of Plan Samenleven) with 1 additional neighbourhood worker VTE. This cooperation agreement runs until 30 September 2026. From an optimal and coordinated operation on neighbourhood work, it is advisable to award the assignment on neighbourhood work for 3 FTE neighbourhood workers to 1 contractor. However, given the phased start-up, the current cooperation agreement with an external partner runs in principle until 30 September 2027 for what was initially started as a neighbourhood work Zaventem (1 FTE). As regards the public contract for the other two local workers (total: 2 FTE) will start on 1 October 2026. On the basis of the above, this contract will start on 1 October 2026 for 2 FTE neighbourhood workers (1 FTE Zaventem and 1 FTE Sint-Stevens-Woluwe), respectively 1 October 2027 (1 FTE Zaventem) as regards the first public contract, but this public contract for all 3 neighbourhood workers (3 FTE) will end no later than 30 September 2032.
