In the urban district of Solingen, North Rhine-Westphalia, DB Station & Service, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG, owns a roof area of approximately 1 250 m². The site is used as a railway station.
The roof is suitable for the use of photovoltaic electricity production. The lessee is to build a photovoltaic installation at his own expense and risk. It alone is entitled to the charges arising from the injection of electricity into the electricity system.
