Syftet med upphandlingen är att etablera ett nationellt datanav som kan hantera data om idrotts- och friluftsanläggningar som öppen data. Genom API:er ska data kunna samlas in från redan befintliga system till det nationella datanavet. All data som finns i det nationella datanavet ska vara öppen och tillgänglig för andra aktörer.
