Description

The Berlin IT Service Centre (ITDZ) is an IT and TK service provider for Berlin’s administration and, in this context, manages telecommunications facilities with approximately 42000 secondary posts in approximately 300 locations. Part of these facilities and most of the secondary sites are connected via the Multiserver Network (MSN) of the ITDZ Berlin.
The ITDZ operates a switched MPLS IP network (Multiservice Network (MSN)) to provide services to its customers. As an extension of the MSN, the ITDZ provides fixed connections rented in a WAN (Wide Area Network) and DSL-VPN. In addition, ITDZ operates S12 intermediation systems and a SDH network. The S12 switching systems and the SDH network are to be migrated to IP soft switches and MSN over the next 4 years.
Individual TK facilities of ITDZ customers are directly connected to the PSTN (S0, S2M).
The role of the ITDZ is, inter alia, to renew, expand or supply new customers with telecommunications solutions. In this context, the objective of the call for tenders is to conclude framework contracts for specific telecommunications solutions, depending on the requirements. Hybrid solutions allowing for flexible roll-out stages in conventional technology and IP telephony solutions (VoIP) will be considered as possible.
The invitation to tender consists of two lots.
Lot 1 includes hybrid IP-TK systems up to 5000 ports for decentralised telecommunications solutions (single sites or decentralised interconnection sites up to 20000 ports).
Lot 2 includes small IP-TK systems up to 32 sub-stations.
The total volume of supplies for telecommunications solutions under the framework contracts over the next 4 years is estimated at around 17000 additional posts.
The purpose of this invitation to tender is to conclude a framework contract for 48 months per lot.
However, the framework contracts only give the ITDZ an obligation to purchase the minimum quantities indicated in the tender documents.
