Germany-Potsdam: Network upgrade
The subject of the contract is the extension of an existing campus Wi-Fi network, including supply, installation, configuration and commissioning at the Campus Neues Palais, Golm, Griebnitzsee, mulberry and DIFE sites, consisting of active and passive data technology. The buildings and part of the open spaces are covered throughout the country. Wi-Fi will be used for traditional data transmission, but also for time-critical applications such as video streaming or video on demand. The complete buildings will be supplied. The exception is cellars, which are only equipped on a case-by-case basis. In certain areas, such as seminar rooms, cafeteria, the increased number of Wi-Fi access should be taken into account. The whole system will be put into operation on 31.10.2013. The main installations in the field of passive data technology must take place in the unreading period until 11.10.2013. Installation is required in several teams due to the timeframe set.
