Description

The object of the procurement of the mixing and distribution system for coarse fodder for the feed kitchen of the research cowshed is the mixing and distribution system for coarse fodder for the research cowshed and feed kitchen to be built in Jokioinen (incl. coarse fodder filling tables, conveyors, mixers, wet fodder feeding device and coarse fodder distribution device and their control systems). The roughage mixing and distribution system to be acquired for the forage kitchen will be tailored to the needs of approximately 200 dairy cows so that it can distribute 6 different roughage feeds (silage, straw, hay) and 8 different compound feeds four times a day, primarily to feed consumption measuring devices (forage troughs; BioControl AS), which are approximately 90 cm above the level of the feeding table and in separate feed distribution boxes in the barn research area. Coarse fodder entering the forage kitchen is mainly precision-chopped silage, but the system must also work with round- and square-painted coarse fodder. It should be noted that there is no young cattle rearing in the research barn. In order to determine individual feedingstuffs, the coarse fodder distribution system must be able to distribute the correct amount of compound feedingstuffs to the designated feeding place on the basis of information obtained from Luke's research system or BioControl's system.
