Voluntary ex ante transparency notice tiltable LSM 900 microscope
Shared Research Facilities (SRF) and the Wageningen Light Microscopy Centre (WLMC) of the Plant Sciences Group of the Wageningen University (WU) intends to purchase a “Tiltable LSM 900 microscope”. Currently, no other microscope is available on the market that meets our demands for a high-end confocal microscope that can be repositioned from a horizontal to vertical stage orientation at the push of a button without the need for re alignment or calibrations. This setup aims to provide a flexible and user-friendly system for a large group of users with limited microscopy experience and varying demands. The microscope will be housed within WLMC. WLMC is a multi-user light microscopy facility, embedded within the NL-Bioimaging platform. Therefore, the system will be available for a broad range of researchers from WUR and other national and international universities/research institutes. The new set-up will also be accessible for external partners (e.g. industry).
