Description

The subject of the contract is the operation of a regional landfill for non-hazardous waste – Omurtag and includes:
— acceptance of waste,
landfilling of the waste accepted,
— leachate management, monitoring,
— the performance of activities by qualified and trained personnel involved in the operation of the landfill site and the ancillary installations and facilities,
— ensuring health and safety at work.
The regional landfill for non-hazardous waste – Omurtag serves the municipalities of Omurtag, Kotel, Varbitsa and Antonovo.
The quantities of municipal waste to be landfilled (around 9 000 tonnes per year – 36 000 tonnes for the duration of the contract – 48 months) are estimated and vary depending on the season and the specificity of the waste.
The contractor is obliged to provide 24 hour security at the landfill. Integrated permit No 302-НО/2008 (IP) was issued for the site.
