Description

The DLR Institute of Maritime Energy Systems plans experimental facilities to explore components of alternative energy systems experimentally. For this purpose, the institute is building both a shore-side energy laboratory and a research vessel on which technologies are to be tested in a real maritime application environment. The LT-PEM fuel cell to be procured here will first be used in the laboratory and then on board the research vessel. The fuel cell system, consisting of a low-temperature polymer electrolyte fuel cell + associated subsystems, which will be procured as part of this tender procedure, will be a fundamental part of research at the DLR Institute of Maritime Energy Systems in the future.
