Description

The Land of North Rhine-Westphalia is responsible for building the base stations and the access network. In North Rhine-Westphalia, infrastructure (base stations, control stations, p.p.) is connected as far as possible by direct radio transmission. The invitation to tender was carried out in two (technical) lots.
Lot 1: The subject of this lot was the supply, installation and commissioning of CERAGON radial radio lines for the connection network of base stations and control stations to the switches of the BOS Digital Radio Network in North Rhine-Westphalia, and then the capacitive extension of CERAGON’s existing radio systems in 2012 and 2013 (and optionally in 2014 and 2015).
Lot 2: The subject of this lot was the maintenance of relay lines in North Rhine-Westphalia, including the associated repair of disturbances in 2013, 2014 and 2015 (and optionally in 2016). In order to resolve the faults, the contractor must ensure accessibility over 24 hours over 365 days via a fault management centre. For status tracking purposes, the contracting authority provides a Trouble ticketing system.
