Description

The object of the procurement is the purchase and delivery of navigation and radio equipment and accessories for vessels used by Finnpilot Pilotage Oy. The contract also includes equipment installation services, user training, maintenance and repair services, and customer service. The subject of the contract is described in Annex 2 of the invitation to tender, the requirements and prices of the reference equipment, and in Annex 5 of the invitation to tender, the Contract. As a rule, Finnpilot Pilotage Oy installs the navigation and radio equipment itself and strives to repair and maintain them. If the equipment is serviced and repaired on behalf of the supplier, the equipment is usually sent to the supplier for maintenance or repair. The contract period is four (4) years. For details, see Chapter 4 of the contract attached as Annex 5 to the invitation to tender. The contract includes, as an option, the possibility to extend the contract for a maximum of two (2) years. The estimated value of the acquisition, excluding VAT, including the option period, is between EUR 270,000 and EUR 370,000. The assessment of the scope of the acquisition is made difficult by the assessment of the price development of the equipment and the uncertainty caused by the prevailing geopolitical situation.
