SBH Schulbau Hamburg has the task of planning, building, maintaining and managing the school properties in accordance with economic principles, taking into account school interests, and of renting out the approximately 350 schools to the authority for school and vocational training. The school real estate comprises all land and buildings of the state and vocational schools used for school purposes. The land area of all general and vocational state schools is about 9.1 million square meters and the main usable area is about 3.1 million square meters. Schulbau Hamburg was commissioned to build new classrooms, cafeterias and daycare facilities as well as dismantling measures at the school location of the ‘Schule am Eichtalpark’ on the Walddörferstraße 243 property.
