Description

The Academy for Public Health, based in Düsseldorf, is a public educational institution funded by the federal states of Berlin, Brandenburg, Bremen, Hamburg, Hesse, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, Saxony-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia. It is the only transnational institution in Germany for the education, training and further training of all employees in the public health service, regardless of the place of employment/client of the employees. The offers of the Academy are aimed in particular at the employees of the host countries of the Academy and their subordinate institutions at the municipal level. In addition to its training and further education courses, the Academy offers more than 100 one-day and multi-day training courses every year, which address individual professions of the Public Health Service as well as are multi-professional and problem-oriented. The Academy also uses e-learning formats.
