The purpose of the contract is the construction of a new backbone of primary water supply in the Polesine Orientale, in the territory between the mouth of the Adige and the Po Delta, which develops along the north-south axis, in the municipalities of Rosolina and Porto Viro (Ro). The project consists of a DN500 mm pipeline with a length of approximately 11,830 m, which develops from the base of the Cà Diedo tower in via Morosini, in the municipality of Rosolina, to connect, in the locality of Cà Contarina in the municipality of Porto Viro, to the existing DN400 mm cast iron aqueduct along the SP37 near the former sugar factory. The construction of the new project plug makes it possible to eliminate bottlenecks and homogenise the diameters of the main supply network of the East Polesine, ensuring a better distribution of water resources in anticipation of the future decommissioning of the water supply plants on the river Po and increasing the degree of redundancy of the supply network.
