FI-Helsinki: Railway engineering services
The subject of the contract is the phased deployment inspection services of the railway safety equipment section Kokkola – Ylivieska, with the tasks set out in Guideline 7/2012 of the Finnish Transport Agency, and participation in risk management processes.
Kokkola – Ylivieska section is now a single-track and electrified mixed rail section to be upgraded to double track. The length of the double track section is 80 km, the maximum speed of the line is 200 km/h, 8 railway stations, of which 2 traffic stations and 6 track change stations and stop, n.170 combination signals, JKV control lines, ca. 45 gears, ca. 85 gear turning engines and interface interfaces for Kokkola and Ylivieska release equipment and the remote traffic control system.
The double track works will start in spring 2013 with track engineering works and the double track construction works are expected to be completed in 2017.
The dual track will be introduced by a new system of restraints and handed over to traffic in several stages, starting from 2014.
