Description

The subject of this call for tenders is a support service in the form of a cloud platform to conduct an AI benchmarking competition addressing the application of Foundation Models in the field of security. The term Foundation Model (rarely: Basic model) describes complex neural networks that have been trained on large amounts of data and are characterized by a high generality and versatility of their applications. For this purpose, the models have many (several hundred billion) parameters, which are learned during the training. In the parameters, the implicit knowledge acquired from the data is represented and thus represents the foundation for further applications. The overarching procedure will take up to 36 months. In the 9th and 20th months of the competition, a decision will be taken on the continuation of the proceedings. This also depends on the continuation of the support service commissioned here. The performance start is thus linked to the start of the higher-level research programme and currently for the IV. Planned for the quarter 2025. The aim of the overarching procedure is to provide innovative research and development services in a competitive framework for the holistic evaluation of generative foundation models in the security context. The present call for tenders concerns the provision of the central benchmarking platform for the implementation of the challenge.
