Description

A shutdown of the Lavey hydroelectric plant, with draining of the inlet gallery, is scheduled between October 3 and November 28, 2025. Taking advantage of this interruption, the Industrial Services of the City of Lausanne [SIL] plans to repair the concrete of the 7.75 m diameter radier of the gallery. The extent of the repair work to be carried out depends, on the one hand, on the observations made during the inspection visit at the opening of the gallery and, on the other hand, on the current repair work. To date, about 60% of the radier of the gallery, over a total length of 3'850 m, have already been rehabilitated during the 1984, 1989, 1997, 2005, 2011 and 2018 marketing years, but sections may need to be rehabilitated. Various types of rehabilitation work are envisaged: - Spot patching, low volume, on limited surfaces, with SIKA MonoTop 412 N mortar or similar supplemented by SIKA Abraroc mortar wear layer or similar; - Filling of areas of the radiator with holes/erosion of large volumes with concrete 0/16 CEM 350; - The grading of large areas, with high abrasion, with SIKA MonoTop 412 N mortar or similar set up by gunitage in one or two layers. - Erosion protection of large areas with a SIKA Abraroc or SIKA Kanal-820 or similar mortar wear layer.
