Description

Oasen sees aerobic RO as a viable option to meet the required high drinking water quality and the possibility of direct discharge of concentrate to surface water. However, the Process Technology Standard (PTS) of such a purification process must first be developed within Oases. In order to collect information for the preparation of a PTS, the aerobic purification concept including the pre- and post-treatment steps (remineralisation) will be tested by means of a pilot on location ZS Lekkerkerk. To achieve these goals, a modular and movable pilot installation is being developed, the Next-step RO. The pilot plant will have a capacity of 5m3 per hour. The intention is that this pilot will be built modularly so that it can also be moved to other locations to do research there. With the pilot, a robust treatment concept will be created for the raw water of the relevant location.
